Fact Sheet for Mounting and Framing for Exhibition

Framed Work

  1. It is essential that fittings are large enough to take the hooks on the hanging system belonging to the Club. The inside measurement of the D rings must be at least 13mm (1/2 inch) in diameter.
  2. The D rings require to be positioned one-third down from the top of the frame. If this measurement is not accurate, the painting hangs at the wrong angle.

  3. Two labels must be attached to the back of each painting; one stuck on and the other tied to string. Information on the tied label is required as a check after the painting has been hung and numbered for the Exhibition. This label is then removed.

*Label tied image (name/title/medium/price)

  1. Frameless/Box canvasses must have the same fittings and labelling applied as framed work.
  2. No clip frames will be accepted.
