Sales at Stonehaven Art Club Exhibition
Recording the Sale of Framed and Mounted Work |
- Fully complete receipt. This is ESSENTIAL so our accounts balance. See Example below. WHITE copy to purchaser. YELLOW copy to the cash box. Remember to indicate whether payment by bank card/cash/or cheque at bottom of receipt.
- For sale of framed work, ask the purchaser to provide their mobile number and e mail address. This is so we can contact them to collect work and invite them to next year’s Preview Evening.
- Record the sale of framed or mounted work on the Master List in the folder provided.
- Place a red sticker on the label of the sold framed work.
- Complete the Sales Book.
Recording Sale of Greetings Cards |
- Record greetings card sales on the daily Greetings Card Sales Sheet. This is ESSENTIAL so our accounts balance. A new sheet for each day will be provided. Artists name and card price will be included on the sheet. Use a 5 bar gate tally to record the number of cards sold per price. Total number of cards and amount will be recorded at the end of each day.
- No receipt required for greetings card sales alone, but if greetings card purchased along with framed or mounted the total number and cost of any greeting cards must be reflected in the receipt given to the purchaser. See Example

- Paintings can only be sold for the amount shown in the catalogue.
- If paying by cheque, cheques should be made payable to Stonehaven Art Club.
- No deposits will be accepted nor can works be reserved.
- Sold framed work should be collected at the end of the exhibition unless the purchaser is a visitor to the area. Mounted work can be removed on purchase.
